I sat huddled in the corner surrounded by thick pillows. There was one to my left, one to my right, one straight in front of me that the other two were leaning against and then there was a fourth that was on top of my head in order to keep me from being seen. I had been trapped like this for hours and I was wishing for sweet release of my bladder.
Cursing my luck I resigned myself to fantasies of telling my friend to go die in a hole. He had tricked me! He had said that I would be fine, just come in, put the food into the large metal bowl and then leave. I hadn't been informed as to what kind of pet my friend had. Turns out, it was a damn dragon!
After arriving the dragon decided that he didn't like me and wanted me dead. The pillows were the only thing that was keeping me from being eaten.
My phone rang and I jumped slightly. The pillow on top of me fell to the side, revealing my head to the dragon. There was a growl rumbling through its chest.
"Ehehehe...Be a good dragon, now..." Slowly I grabbed the pillow as my phone rang from my pocket. I moved it back into place before I grabbed my phone and answered it. "Hello?" I whispered.
"Leigh?" It was my friend!
"David! Oh my god! You didn't tell me your pet was a DRAGON!"
"Get out of the house," David ordered.
"Why?"
"I don't have a pet dragon."

The sky looked perfect today; no sign of rain on today’s forecast… I just wished it would feel like this every day, no pain, no strife, nothing. It is as if I was walking into a dream and I never wanted to wake up. Every time I would take a walk on a certain path, I would usually feel at peace with myself. It’s nice to see people walking to and fro to wherever place they may be. As I continued walking down, I just waved my hands at them, having that warm, fuzzy feeling inside as they waved me back with smiles on their faces. I swear it was such an beautiful sight, seeing different people, young and old, male and

After the last sentence - Prologue
It was a dark night. The city streets were all empty, but for the occasional patrol. Just the lights of the inns, taverns and dwellings could lit that night, as the heavy rains prevented the sentinels from lighting up the watchtowers´signals. A knight wearing bright armor entered the tavern named “The Cave”. As he opened the door he noticed that three people remained inside: some dark, hooded character, playing with a coin at his table. “A mercenary” the knight thought to himself. At the counter, the second one stood, wearing an armor that could be the same as the knight´s, but for his headwear, as he wore so

Everything was grey. The sand, the hills, the sky. There was no life here. Or so it seemed. Because in between the dust-colored lifeless cacti, smoke was billowing from a small, concrete house. But smoke had to come from fire. And fire isn't colorless.
Fire can't be colorless. Moreover, to make fire you'd need wood or another flammable material, and there was none to be found outside the City.
The door of the house opened and a woman walked out. She was tall, with long ash-blonde hair held back in a ponytail, and she wore a denim overall and grey boots. Whether they were actually grey or if it was the dust that had made them so, was unclear

Dragons are always fun to write into stories. How could I pass this up? Besides, the idea just popped into my mind.
